The Brain Network Recordings label was first set up back in 2011, showcasing the very finest in d&b, neurofunk and techstep from around the world. Their artists include None Decay, Matt McGowan and Umbr3lla. Already up to their 20th release, the label really are going from strength to strength, and now they bring you BNRDIGI020, Brain Matter/ Brain Fodder from Tol-Man, who has recently been signed exclusively to the label. Tol-Man follows up his work on BNRDIGI011, with two more killer tunes from the deep recesses of his brain and his production skills. Prepare yourselves.
Brain Matter rips a hole in the space-time continuum right from the off, as the beats sit under some eerie vocal samples and electronic backing. Tol-Man moves things along nicely, and the track dips before jumping right back up in your face. The neuro feelings start early on, as the producer goes straight for the central nervous system, sparing not a thought in his global takeover. The bass pounds, and the stage is set for something awesome, something totally out there. Overall, this is some of Tol-Man’s best work to date, and some of the best music to appear on Brain Network. Grab a hold of this one, it won’t let you go.
Brain Fodder, on the other hand, is slightly more on the driving tip, perfect for late nights. The producer gets deep inside the track, allowing it to live, breathe, and appear something more than it is. After the drop, the beats and bass combine to become even stronger, more resilient, and to give the listener even more. Heavyweight, serious and meticulously produced, Brain Fodder tells a thousand tales within its five and a half minutes. Find out more about Tol-Man, and about yourself, with Brain Fodder.
BNRDIGI020 is different, it’s unusual, and it’s essential. Both label and artist are on top form, so become a part of it as soon as you can.
