Label head, Aaron Hedges, is back with a new collaboration project featuring the vocal stylings of the one and only Mz Sunday Luv. You may have already heard Sunday turn out a live show across Europe or heard her featured on productions from the likes of Marco Resmann, Smash TV, Echonomist, or Jacob Seville. Additionally, you can look for Aaron's productions on Mz Luv's forhtcoming album on JopRec entitled "Kill My Demons". The album will feature 3 collaborations between Aaron and Sunday featuring additional vocalists such as Mama (aka Mona Lazette) and Ronique XXX (aka PoSH! The Prince). "Some Say" is a dark and twisted tech house stormer. Rough and animated analog percussion is juxtaposed by menacing modular squeaks and squeals. Beneath this pulsing abstractions Mz Luv's haunting lyrics slip in and out as calling out from beyond the grave. This EP feature remix treatment from Agaric (aka Patrik Skoog) known for his own label, We Are, and recent 2nd full lenght album on 3rd Ear. Agaric gives "Some Say" a rough and tumble stripped techno treatment. By peeling back a few layers and work in other tweaks and twists, Agaric finds a different energy and expression from the original version. "Vampire" is a slow burning song somewhere between the nebulous terms of techno and house. Berlin chunky analog percussion is balanced with hints of French style house grooves. Dreary and ominious atmospheres swelll and dissipate. It chugs along with meticulously crafted automations until releasing all pressure with an instrumental rhodes instrument outro for the most daring of dj's.
