Narik debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Try To Understand which features captivating vocals from Vancouver based singer, songwriter Zara Taylor. Narik aka Johann Bomy grew up in the 70's, experiencing all kinds of music. But it was the New Beat, House Music era that really grabbed his attention, making him passionate about electronic music in general. He was always on the lookout for the latest tracks which helped him learn about and want to know more about where the music came from. This turned into a desire to start producing and, since 2017 he has churned out a raft of quality cuts on various labels with a great support base. We're delighted to have him on board. Zara also debuts here and her entrancing vocals really set this one on fire. She has worked with a wide range of artists on several projects throughout the years. She lends her sultry, soft tones to different genres, always getting the desired effect. A pleasure to have here at BP.

The Original Mix is a warm, hopeful offering with a progressive beat at its core. A bright, upbeat drum section delivers shuffling hats and rhythmic percussions alongside a chunky kick drum. Rich, ambient pads interlace beautifully with Zara's voice on the intro and it's this that grabs you and locks you in. The vocal conveys a deep and meaningful narrative with a touch of melancholy which fits perfectly with the musical elements. A smooth Summery bassline drives the groove while cool synths add a melodic flavour. A fantastic slice that will be a welcome addition in any crate, not to be missed.

On the Chillout Mix we're taken on a sublime journey through the ambient underbelly of the original. Rich, vibrant pads and soft melodies lean on a slow downtempo groove creating the ultimate blissed out experience. Moments of euphoria rise up as the music intensifies in tandem with the superb vocal, only to subside, reset and rise again. Zara's vocal is to be desired, delivered with emotion, she manages to get right into your soul, and it feels good. An absolute beauty of a track that will not disappoint.
