Zaraza Records was born in 2007 as a collaboration between two heavy-hitting Swiss DJs: Leon and Steve Massive (Zar-Aza). After many years of performing individually, the two have joined forces to create Swiss-Italians first net label focused on minimal and techno sounds. The labels upcoming More Mem in the Afternoon EP is a re-release of two of Zarazas best tracks yet. After spending 2008 in San Francisco, Leon has dialed himself into the local techno scene and became a part of SFs Blipswitch crew. The record features new remixes by Blipswitch head J. Rogers and SFs incredibly talented Kenneth Scott along with newly remastered versions of the original tracks. Afternoon is a melodic dancefloor-mover that brings the peak hour energy without going over the top. J. Rogers Aztec Summit mix channels that energy into deeper terrain while maintaining a driving groove that has already set SF dancefloors ablaze on more than one occasion. And speaking of deep-ended drive, Dea No Mem carries one of the dirtiest minimal grooves youve ever heard. It has the weight of any hard-hitting peak hour track, but in true Zaraza style, they leave the unnecessary frills at home. Kenneth Scotts Dea No Mem remix takes a funkier look at the track bringing it into an upbeat territory full of cool synths, chunky beats, and smooth melodic lines. Dont sleep on this fantastic new release and the amazing label thats bringing it to you!!
