After 6 years of churning out a consistent output of hi-quality, chart topping house music, MoreHouse Records is proud to introduce our new sibling imprint MoHo 180. The new label will feature a tougher, edgier sound, that promises to keep the MoHo tradition of releasing top shelf dance floor and radio friendly devastation that showcases today’s rising stars fully intact.
Our debut release on MoHo 180 - Morten Trust featuring Ida Corr “I Put My Faith In You” (The Remixes) has already stirred up quite a buzz and interest amongst some of the industries top tastemakers. Originally released on MoreHouse in 2004, “IPMFIY” received support from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Joey Negro, CJ Mackintosh, and Andy Ward to name just a few, and hit the coveted #1 slot on the DJ Mag Hype Chart straight out of the box. We’re ecstatic to re-introduce “IPMFIY” with a bangin’, fresh new set of mixes, and feel it’s a perfect choice for our debut single on MoHo 180.
Here are some quick facts on the players involved, and the content of the package.
Ida Corr - We’d like to think that we played an important part role in introducing Ida to the dance community in 2004. Her meteoric rise over the past couple of years is nothing short of astonishing. Her 2007 collaboration with Fedde Le Grand on their chart busting collaboration “Let Me Think About It”, and recent hit “Ride My Tempo” has earned her ‘Reigning Queen’ status throughout dance/pop culture. “I Put My Faith In You” (The Remixes) showcases Ida’s impeccable original vocal (as well as some vocal nuggets that weren’t used on the original mixes) against a backdrop of fierce new mixes that will cater to a wide range of musical tastes.
Morten Trust (Morten’s Digi Dub, & Afro Dub) - With more than 40 releases and remixes on labels such as MoreHouse, Soulfuric, Swing City, Mn2S, Pacha and his own Soulmagic Recordings, MT aka ‘The Danish Sensation’ has established himself as one of the international house communities finest producer’s. Morten delivers 2 phat new interpretations with accompanying dubstrumentals. Both mixes feature MT’s signature funky, energetic, quirky production elements and will satisfy all house purists.
Groove Junkies (GJs Prime Time Filth Mix) – The guys are back in LA now after an intense Summer of traveling, and are putting the finishing touches on their much anticipated debut artist album “In The Zone”. Throughout the creative process of working on the album and exploring different production styles ranging from soulful to techy to peak hour mayhem, Evan & Parrish managed to take time out to produce a primetime monster that is destined to wreak havoc on dance floors throughout the world.
Dirty Freqs (Dirty Freqs Mix) - DF’s are Jason Robinson and Robert Change, two southern California natives that are quickly establishing themselves as todays top djs, remixers and producers. Their style is unique - Jason coming from a trance background and Robert from house. Dirty Freqs productions can boast heavy support from the likes of industry legends Armin Van Burin, Paul Oakenfold, and many other top djs worldwide. Most recently the Dirty Freqs have been receiving massive praise for there huge remix of Paul Oakenfolds "Not Over” feat One Republic and Talla 2xlc's "i Know" feat Susanna. They’ve nailed it once again with their stunning remix of “I Put My Faith In You”. With a taste of trance melodies, electro stabs, along with Ida Corr's sexy vocal,
