As part of our 25 Year celebrations we've entrusted one of our biggest tracks for the remix treatment to the capable hands of Airwave, and he definitely hits the spot with this one. Blue Alphabet's Cybertrance is most definitely a classic that is worthy of this remix. First appearing in 1994 the Blue Alphabet collective was made up of like-minded artists Christophe Vervroegen, David Brants, Gregory Dewindt and Peter Schiettekatte. The timing of the release of Cybertrance couldn't have been more fitting as energetic and hypnotic harder edged trance was about to peak. Numerous remixes and re-issues followed down the years which is a testament to its legendary status. The group went on to release several other successful tracks that delivered the Bonzai sound to the masses. Airwave relished the opportunity to get his hands on this one, and he just knew it required his signature breaks vibe which works so well in the sound. A master of his trade, Airwave is revered across the World for his meticulous track building and vision for his sound. He's dished out hundreds of original releases and contributed to an equal amount of remixes over the years which has gained him an army of dedicated fans. Currently (2017) he's practically touring the World with gigs in Canada, USA, UK, Belgium, Spain, The Netherlands and beyond. On top of all this he still finds the time to give us beautiful music such as his latest offering Amber Sky and through his LCD Sessions. A special remix from a special talent, enjoy.
Airwave's Cyberbreaks Remix is a beautifully constructed track filled with all the intricacies of the original blended effortlessly with Laurent's contemporary vision. The intro draws us into a wonderful cinematic experience filled with those chunky breaks and rich pads alongside the famous 7th dimension spoken vocal. Gnarly basses deliver the original melody with a little help from sweeter elements recreating that mesmeric arpeggio. A myriad of delicate sounds and FX layer up in the background adding some colourful textures. Track holds tension and builds us up into a breaks frenzy by the end making this a very fitting tribute to the original, an absolute gem.
