Bengal Tyger

  • Artists Laura Low, Lemurr
  • Release Date 2013-06-25
  • Labels Muti Music
  • Catalog MUTI148
  • Description Laura Low & Lemurr have been featured on previous Acid Crunk series on Muti Music and with Laura Low being one of the co-founding members of LowRIDERz along with An-ten-nae , and Lemurr being a part time contributor and live drummer for LowRIDERz too. It is therefor no wonder they know how to hit those low frequencies oh so well, with a low slung funk vibe.

This debut EP, Bengal Tyger hits on more than just low notes with the first three tunes all featuring some driving midrange bass and fusions from world music as much as Trap and other urban beats and then the tune Relay going even further with some uplifting tribal 4/4 beats that is contagious in it's organic cheerfulness.

Laura Low and Lemurr are the music production team of DJ Laura Low and Neal Stewart. Their music sits comfortably within the realm of underground electronica and pop / r&b simultaneously. Characteristic qualities of their sound are a thundering low end, a distinct musicality and a finely attuned attention given to detail. Laura has been DJing for the last decade in the U.S. and Canada, giving her a keen sense of what is timely and what new trends are yet to be. Neal is a classically trained pianist. Together they present an artistically driven aesthetic when creating mesmerizing visuals to accompany their music, taking video production to its highest potential.
