More pure heat from Berlin's premier home of the deep. Up steps Geronimo Gaiaschi aka Walking Shadow, Resident DJ at Tunnel Club Milan, suitably cryptic and mysterious outfit making his debut on Steve Bug's Dessous Recordings.
Four tracks of sub-aquatic beats and infectious grooves are the order of the day, not least on opener 'When It Hurts'. It's clear Walking Shadow has a healthy respect for the Detroit / Chicago axis, producing a future-leaning deep house burner that's destined to get the true house heads very hot under the collar.
'Be There' continues the vibe - the groove a little more urgent and tightly wound, raising the euphoria levels up a few notches.
'Raindrops' is a slick and emotive piece of seductive deepness, while the closer 'Feels' makes outstanding use of a sick bass-line, firing drum machines and a highly effective 90s referencing vocal.
