Having cut his teeth in Berlins underground scene and across multiple continents KC Wray is real master of the craft and a true DJ’s DJ. Whether playing all night long sets or an allotted time slot KC knows how to set the mood and lock the dance-floor into his groove.
This experience has translated well into KC Wray's production as well making music that is “dance-floor functional”. Always trying to keep it groovy and a little weird KC Wray likes to explore the space between beats in order to build emotion and tap into the unconscious primal instinct to keep people moving. This no gimmicks approach and his deep musical and historical knowledge of the culture has gained him the respect of some of the industries elites such as Roy Davis Jr., Junior Sanchez, Carl Craig and Seth Troxler to name a few.
In 2019 in order to be closer to the origins of House music and seeking inspiration KC Wray left Berlin for Chicago. In 2021 KC Wray launched his imprint Shake Shop Records with the vision to provide a platform for real underground House & Techno and provide a counter balance against the perceived gentrification of the culture.
2022 has been a big year for KC Wray having his last 3 EP’s all enter the charts including his release on Origins Records which sat at the top of the Beatport, Traxxsource and Itunes Charts for over two months as well as collaborating with house music legend Robert Owens and remixing the legendary Roy Davis Jr. Expect more from this emerging artist in 2023.After establishing his label Pursuit in 2018 Rob has added an extra gear after releasing on labels like Bedrock, Ovum, Renaissance and Joris Voorn's Spectrum.
For 2023 Rob already has new material stacked up and has releases on Nora en Pure's Purified, Lane 8's This Never Happened and Eelke Kleijn's Days Like Nights lined up.
