This week MalLabel Music is bringing you another thoughtful excursion into experimental bass land with one of our newest favorites. Colorado's NaS-Ja sets the stage again with some sexy-sweet sub infused ear candy.Exploring the rich emotional side of experimental Glitch and IDM, NaS-Ja often takes us through the wormhole on an adventure through inter-dimensional space and time. Time and time again he will bring us from the darkest of tumultuous bass laden grime to a place of subtle energetic beauty and peace. With more EP releases than I care to count in the last year alone, the tsunami of visionary conception that floods from his ever evolving deluge of compositions shows no sign of abating... and I can tell you right now that we really don't have a problem with that.In his latest trio of musical creations, an EP entitled Shared Pleasures, the music follows this theme through a intimate journey of the senses. Opening with 'Headspace', heavenly pads slowly build into a provocative collection of racy modern bass tones and exploratory arpeggios. The title track follows with hot plucks riding on waves of alternating sensuous atmospheres as desires in the form of growling, synthetic beasts lurk in the shadows. With tripping fields of manipulated voice, artifacts and glass, the finale 'Owl Traps' occupies the space between the flora of a psychedelic forest existing somewhere between this world and the next. Truly an experience; this one's not to be missed.
