Born and based in Tegucigalpa, ROBERTO ESPINOSA grew exposed to the hip hop and techno culture in Philadelphia and New York city. He started playing in 2003 back in Honduras and since then he has been committed to spread the sound and culture of the truly underground techno, being old school Detroit sound his most significant source of inspiration.
And what makes this release even more special to us is that his original track comes with two outstanding remixes from Underground Resistance artists Dan Caballero, better know as Dj Dex or NOMADICO, who, although born and raised in L.A., happens to be of Central American ancestry himself.
Two artists that represent the strong influence of Latin culture in the origin and future of the underground techno scene.
Track 1 is Robertos original NEW PARADIGM, a strong funky track with the dirty flavour of the old techno sound. The beats of the old drum machines work together with a hypnotic and groovy base line. Then its a story of deep, warm pads, stabs and subtle melodies, while the beat keeps on and the groove grows and grows. A great track that sounds classic and futuristic, dreamy and danceable.
Track 2 is Nomadicos remix, starts with a broken beat and a deep dubby attitude. Pushing the hypnotic and funk side of the original to the limit, Nomadicos remix is a true delight, sophisticated and elegant.
Track 3, Nomadicos Dub Mix is pure energy. Direct, minimal and 100%% dancefloor oriented, this dub mix is a solid piece of futuristic funky techno.
WE LOVE TECHNO!!
