Who better to provide our first release from an artist based outside the UK than Starkey? Having worked with a who's who of grime including Trim and P Money as well as playing an instrumental part in pushing the sound overseas, No Hats No Hoods are proud to have Starkey at the helm of our 15th vinyl release.

Always keen to focus on emerging as well as established artists Starkey teams up with up and coming MCs Merky Ace and Kozzie on 'PC', whilst delivering a high octane lesson in fluro-grime with the instrumental 'Peacekeeper' on the flip.

The Philadelphia based producer's impressive back catalogue includes 2 critically acclaimed albums on Planet Mu as well as further release on labels such as Civil Music, Keysound and Rwina. This also isn't the first time Starkey and No Hats No Hoods have collaborated as he also provided memorable remixes of both Tempa T's 'Next Hype' and the Jammer and Badness collaboration 'The Message is Love'.

On 'PC' he provides the perfect foil for two of the most exciting prospects from the new wave of young and talented grime MCs. Both Merky Ace and Kozzie are stars of the future and have been winning plaudits for their spots on the remix of last year’s biggest grime instrumental - Spooky's 'Spartan' - which will be dropping in the next month.

The release coincides with Starkey joining BBC 1xtra as part of the Daily Dose of Dubstep alongside Quest and True Tiger amongst others.
