Taking a back seat after a string of personal productions, 16 Bit Lolitas hand over the latest release on their Bits & Pieces label to highly respected female producer Miss Nine - with impressive results. Currently the face of Levi's Curve ID denim range, Miss Nine has been making waves in the progressive and house scene for many years now. Closely associated with Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi label, she became the first female artist to mix a compilation for the label in 2006 and has been honing her versatile, groove-fuelled sound ever since. A track that balances deep textures with high energy, opening track 'Natsumi' is a progressive classic in the making. Built on hypnotic electronic grooves and subtle proggy melodies, 'Natsumi's anthem status is cemented through the introduction of an infectious, uplifting piano loop that carries the track through to an epic breakdown and beyond. On 'Tsuyu', Miss Nine shows off a deeper side to her musical character with a chugging tech workout full of funky guitar licks and classy melody work.
