Part Two (of two) of this album takes a more direct four to the floor approach than its predecessor with some outstanding jazzy dancefloor bizzness from the likes of Raw Soul Orchestra and the legendary Blaze but make sure you check out the Brooklyn Soul Boys track for a bona fide 'jazz house' classic and Deep Solutions classy end to the set (this version is not available on vinyl).
We make no pretence that this is 'pure jazz' but equally, if your expecting bog standard generic house beats with a few dodgy sax solos over the top - forget it, because that just won't cut the mustard. Of course the sax is well represented here, along with the trumpet, keys, double bass, and all the other staple ingredients of the traditional jazz sound, but its the way they're used, that provides that 'extra something' and makes the difference. Here the aim is to display outstanding musicianship but without any descent into either self-absorbed indulgence or smooth jazz blandness. There's enough interesting twists and turns here to keep both the chin stroking, nodding heads happy and to turn on plenty of new  'jazz kids' via a heaving dancefloor.
Another classic must have to add to my slowly building Mettle Music Collection - Ben Mitchell (Mr Hermano/Sao Benitez)
I like the Deep Solution track & i also forgot how good the Brooklyn Soul Boys tune was!- Mr Scruff
If the jazzier side of things is your bag, you could do a lot worse than pick up this impressive selection. We await the next installment with bated breath - IDJ
The best to date, this collection of music injects both passion and a sense of good times into the affair with a diverse selection of beats and rhythms keeping things vibrant - Greg Fenton (Update)
An excellent example of jazz infused house & beats, if you appreciate the sounds of real instruments working a dancefloor, then this is for you - Night Mag (Album of Month)
Sounds great! - Andy Compton (Rurals)
I love this - Rocky
A collection of seriously sophisticated floor-fillers, jazz fanatics will uncover some real treasures here... - F magazine
Time after time Mettle Music seem to deliver top notch material unlike any other label at present - Clubbing UK
