Canadian artist Rob Dawson aka Magnovis notches up another fine slice of progressive goodness with Fifth Dimension. This one comes fresh off the back of his superb remix of Pathos by Blufeld and Nikko Mavridis and also follows his fantastic debut last year with Nocturn. Magnovis mindfully crafts music that expresses his infatuation with sound. Each piece is an opportunity to work with people close to him or to explore a new sensation that invokes the desire to groove. He understands that music is a community, and he always intends to bring his values to the soundboard in a way that makes a better experience for listeners and artists alike. Evoking many of the sounds reminiscent of the past, Magnovis keeps striving to move forward with fresh grooves and elemental prowess. Citing Victor Calderone, Guy J., Guy Mantzur, Cid Inc., and Chus & Ceballos as his influences, his listeners wholeheartedly agree that he has carved his own signature sound. It's these personal touches that make Magnovis' pieces shine. His tracks are infectious, bold, and, most importantly, uniquely his. Great to have him back for more.

Fifth Dimension intros with a nice punchy kick drum and upbeat percussions arrangement. Swirling pads mysterious atmospherics rise up creating a rich textured sound that draws you in. Hypnotic notes and a deep probing bass really locks us into the groove as we're taken deeper into the progressive abyss. Subtle melodies lurk amongst the sci-fi layers that fill out the spectrum of this ever evolving slice. A top notch cut that is not to be missed.

Torrential gets busy with a tight drum section dishing out a smooth rhythm to the backdrop of a murky mesmerizing synth sequence. A powerfully deep cone busting bass reverberates through the sound beautifully adding warmth and depth while distant pads fill out the track. A hint of melody eases out of the arpeggios delivering a captivating sound and making this a definite must have track for the deeper progressive sessions.
