For years and over 10,000 appearances – there has been a consistent goal for Roman Rosati. “Make everyone attending this party have a better time than they thought they were going to have. Remember those great moments, remember your great venue, and remember some great house music.” For over 1 million partiers, dancers, merrymakers, problem-forgetters, romance-starters – Roman’s mission has been accomplished thus far.
Hailing from the party capital of Europe and residing in the mecca of the U.S. party scene, maybe Roman Rosati was in the right place at the right time. Roman, at the age of 16 was among a small group of DJs and promoters who quite literally built the party scene from scratch in St. Tropez in 1991. By the time he was 20, he joined an even smaller elite club. French DJs that had made the trip across the Atlantic to put their international touch on the U.S.’s largest dance music market: New York.
Arriving in the Big Apple for just one gig, Roman soon was asked to cancel his return flight and become a resident at New York’s biggest club at the time .
It became clear that year that Roman was destined for big things. Since conquering New York, Roman has played in five total continents – from Asia, North American, South America, Africa and Europe.
After a return to Europe for five more years of packed clubs in places like Paris’s Manray, B-Fly, and Wax, Roman returned to the U.S. in the early 2000’s to play at South Beach’s Bash club. It did not take long for the world’s first and largest party brand, Nikki Beach, to take notice of Roman’s mixing skills, and soon after Roman was asked to join Nikki Beach to lead them as music director through a decade which saw them expand into almost a dozen markets.
For each Nikki Beach launch, Roman carefully selected the right blend of internationally recognized talent and local residents. Each atmosphere was unique, but still had the undeniable sexy Nikki Beach musical imprint that Roman helped define. Roman was quoted in a magazine as saying, “Nikki Beach music creates a lifestyle that everyone wants, and the very lucky can have.”
Recently, as Roman became a free agent and outgrew Nikki Beach, there was one final collaboration. Roman helped bring that Nikki Beach lifestyle into the homes of tens of thousands of people with a series of 6 double CDs, “Nikki Beach In The House ” on Defected Records .
On each double CD, one disc is mixed by Roman, and the other is mixed by other international famous superstar DJs. The first two that was released in late 2011 Roman mixed with the legendary Shapeshifters and then ATFC. The third one that was released in early 2012 was mixed with superstar DJ Miguel Migs.
“I was honored to work with producers that I personally know and trust, and whose musical sensibilities and respect for the Nikki brand match mine,” said Roman.
Since Las Vegas is where Roman now calls home, he plans to do what he has done in Cabo, Miami, New York, Chicago, Moscow, Paris , and over 100 other party destinations. “Make people smile, laugh, dance, scream, and come back.”
