In a short amount of time, Discoah has made a serious entry into the Midwest underground House music scene. In November 2015 he entered a mix contest to open for Dirtybird's J. Phlip in Minneapolis. His first ever recorded mix, it won him the contest, and caught ears in both Milwaukee and Minneapolis. With only 2 years under his belt Discoah has already embarked on his first residency at SoulDive in Milwaukee and has been playing out regularly in both cities, supporting Mark Farina, J. Phlip, Christian Martin, Shiba San, Fortune, and Kiddo as well as features on House Salad Music, WMSE 91.7 FM, 88.9 Radio Milwaukee, and SugarShackRecordings.Born into music in 1995 in Minneapolis, MN. A young Discoah was exposed to many musical influences. Hearing Fatboy Slim for the first time in elementary school, listening to Funk, Soul, Jazz, and Disco records from his parents record collection, and a loveof improvisation and atmosphere creation discovered through playing upright bass in numerous bands, all shaped Discoah’s DJ style and sound.Discoah moved to Milwaukee in 2013 to pursue a degree in Jazz Studies. During this time, he began exploring House music and the art of the DJ. His first shows were playing for free beer at college keggers and freaking out his peers with obscure Deep House cuts. The response was incredible and since then, the Disco ball has been his spirit animal.Don't let his youthfulness fool you, Discoah is putting his own flavor in a new age of House music with a catalog of Deep House ranging beyond his years. He has the approval of the old school heads and new and is asking listeners to wonder what it truly means to be Deep.Discoah’s focus is now the future with plans for new mixes and original productions that continue to spread his Deep House style that pays tribute to the genres and the greats before him, and provides fun and thoughtful atmospheres to dancefloors everywhere.
