Stisch, aka Tommy Spaanheden, was the first of the Scandinavian stars of Nu Skool Breaks. With influences from his underground techno roots he created pioneering soundscapes that helped shape the sound of the scene. The first Stisch release, JFK, can arguably be held as one of the most influential breaks tracks at that time and was in every big name DJ's record box around the globe, appeared on numerous compilations (including numerous appearances on genre defining series Y3K), and helped the label Sound of Habib get a flying start. He continued to release a selection of both club friendly tracks and haunting electronica before leaving the scene and moving on to other musical adventures.
