When you think of the future, what do you imagine? For -=UHU=- our future is meant to bring the rise and the triumph of the machines over mankind. We will have a fully automatized style of living, and robots will think for us. This vision, dreamy for some people and nightmarish for others, has been specially put into music for Gigolo Records. With a style reminding us of DOPPLEREFFEKT or more recently of ARPANET, -=UHU=- musically portrayed his personal view of a digital, techno-logical world. Kinetic Energy Part 1 will make you think of a frontal conflict between to high robotized armies, where some furious and unstoppable war machines are fighting with beats and digital sounds. Aggressive and penetrating without being irritating, this track will make your brain act like a microchip ultimately designed for dancing like a robot. Kinetic Energy Part 2 will make you fall more and more into digitalism. The lead keyboard is more nervous than ever as if the machines were totally breaking loose and sinking into electronic crazyness. This track has also a little something of "Déjà Vu"... because it is clearly an hommage to KRAFTWERK's anthologic album The Man Machine and especially to the song We Are The Robots ! Virtual Network could also be considered as an hommage to famous Gigolo artists DOPPLEREFFEKT! A repetitive drumline having a little something of sterilization, one of the best track of GESAMTKUNSTWERK, the first album of our famous communist duo, gathered with a bouncy minimal lead and a bass like a truck braking on the rocks... Last but not least, Jupiter Family, also appearing on this year's Gigolo Compilation #8 seems to tell us with electronic beats and sounds the exciting story of the last man on earth trying to escape this world of monotony and automation after an apocalyptic wake up. A neverending drumline and a breath-taking lead keyboard will give you the impression that Hollywood knocked on the door of the Gigolo office in Berlin...!
