Featuring on the "Summer Particles 2018" compilation with "Coffee is a Morning Thing", Nick Stoynoff returns with a full release as a trio of original tracks are included along with two standout remixes.

An iconic name within the underground music fraternity, Nick Stoynoff continues to break new barriers with his production work. A long-time Proton friend, his original work for the flagship imprint centred around January 2012's "Berlin Dream" EP, while 2009's "Instinct" showcased a unique talent on Particles. Now returning, the Chicago resident produces a sleek new 2018 version of "Havnit", originally part of 2011 "Silk Way 4" compilation. A heavy-duty Stoynoff gem, "60 Pounds" bursts into life with its metallic hi-hat backbeat and strong beat. Percussive intricacy provides character and variation before luscious and textured chords create a magisterial air. Building effortlessly, a sustained chord flows into the third movement alongside a chorus of effects and production material, generating a crushing techno heavyweight.

Exploding into prominence with his remix of FC Kahuna's "Hayling" and going on to appear on James Holden's "Balance 005" compilation, Kosmas witnessed a successful production career under his 'Epsilon' moniker with music featured on Afterglow, Armada and Manual Music. His own Epsilon Trax provided further success for the Greek while work for Particles saw a clutch of outstanding originals, alongside Shocker, showcase a sound DJ Shadow would be proud of. Returning to the label after a March 2018 remix of Tripswitch and GMJ's "Open Doors", Kosmas returns with a distinctive take on "Coffee is a Morning Thing". An intricate broken beat provides an intelligent rhythmic framework that clicks and pops in 808 joy hinting at a subtle retro flavour. Filtering into sonic view a rippling 303 bassline provides more retro styling while meandering chords add subtlety and texture before an arpeggio sequence erupts post-breakdown with its roots firmly in Stoynoff's melodic foundations.

Australian artist, Verve has been a regular contributor to Particles since a 2012 debut with "Fusion", part of the "Spring 2012" edition. Going on to achieve a full release with remixes from Inkfish and Danny Bonnici, Verve also showcased his mature sound with the April 2016 "Foundations" EP on Proton Music. Meticulous in his "eclectic, powerful and highly infectious dance music", support from Jaytech and Hernan Cattaneo has seen the Australian reach the upper echelons of the underground house scene. Remixing "Coffee is a Morning Thing", an intelligently programmed rhythmic foundation is redolent in 808 hits before a cavernous bassline provides low-end joy. Pulsating pads and a chorus of intelligently placed effects add intrigue while Stoynoff's sound set is used to full effect as the melodic phrasing of the original is brought into new perspective by Verve's subtle and deft handling. The result is a high-energy "Highly Caffeinated Remix".

A quintet of original and remix production work from Kosmas, Verve and Nick Stoynoff has found stimulation that lasts through "Coffee is a Morning Thing".
