Igal Magitman's career has risen steadily since his first releases with Brisker in 2006. Since then a multitude of his tracks have been signed to Audiotherapy, Twisted Frequncey, Baroque and a recent remix of Nick Stoynoff's Brandenberg for Proton. Magitman, supported by industry heavyweights, is a name synonymous with blending driving beats and rhythms that bristle with quality and energy. This ear for high-class production has seen the Israeli's tracks further licensed by Sony for Playstation and afforded him a global DJ presence.

Magitman now marks his first full solo release for Proton with "Cleaning Day". Unsurprisingly, the track carries the hallmark of modern progressive house with Igal's own distinctive flavour. Hypnotic percussive elements entwine effortlessly with a strong groove and a driving rhythm that builds and teases with a twisted staccato vocal.

From the populous North Island of New Zealand, the Auckland Strom brothers collectively produce under a trio of guises: Antix, Triangle and, here for Proton, as Fiord. It is under this moniker that the siblings also host the monthly "Fiordland" show on Proton Radio. With 4 albums under their collective belts and over 100 releases on Plusquam, Flow Vinyl, Mesmeric and Fruit Machine, it is little wonder the brothers call the studio their "second home" and "creative playground".

The Fiord remix of "Cleaning Day" encompasses this creative passion with its laid-back vibe and swung beats anchored with a strong four-to-the-floor kick. This approach parallels the rhythmic style of Magitman's original but with an added organic touch as melodic riffs and horns weave in and out as the track reaches its climax.

With Fiord on board, Magitman is clearly cleaning up.
