DescriptionEnormous Deep presents the first pre-EP from the forthcoming highly anticipated compilation CROATIA - THE OPENING 2013. No one else than the CROATIA SQUAD themselves, who invented this compilation series back in 2008, offer 3 previously unreleased deep house tracks. The full compilation is scheduled for early April on our label. Let's kick off this EP with SWIMMING POOL: A warm, organic and analogue sounding deep house track with some subtly choosen classic house elements. Not to miss the beautiful vocal glitches, funky guitar licks and the low-pass filtered chord constructions in the drops. Underneath it all there's a groovy beat section pounding throughout, some shaking and organic percussion patterns and a deep square bass line, that supports the melodic part of the breakdown and adds a fresh taste of modern deep house club music to the track. A truly unique musical nugget these days in the virtual world of electronic dance music. AGE OF TECHNOLOGY comes along with some tribalish drum loops, filthy chords stabs and retro underground pads and howling synths. In the break downs there's a touchy 7th pad texture building the basic, on top some high violins that come in from time to time as well as the male voiceover that tells a story from back in the days. Third track on the EP is VILLAIN. Some more minimalistic tech beats invite us into the future of deep house music. Random effects, placed always at the right time, make this track being always pulsating. When it comes to the break down, an old moog sound plays a feel good melody on top of some dreamy chord pads, before it ends up in a huge and epic drop. On the remix duty we have PASSENGER 10 who delivers a more beat orientated version. A rough saw bass line underneath the summerish chords of the original makes this remix stand out and we're sure it will be played in lots of DJ sets during this year's Ibiza season. All in all, this is what you can expect from this year's Croatia - The Opening 2013 compilation: Chilly deep house and downbeat music at it's best, produced on the highest quality base. iTunes exclusively contains radio edits.
