In 1990 Olivier Abbeloos produced the anthem Quadraphonia "Quadraphonia" and then as if this wasn't enough he produced T99's "Anasthasia" (XL Records). 2 Huge records, number ones in many territories worldwide and records that alongside records by The Prodigy et al. kick started the dance music and in particular the "rave" scene. No small feat.
Fast forward a few years and Olivier has struck gold with the "2 million ways" record signed to Lowered Recordings after a summer blazing the decks of CJ Mackintosh, Brian Tappart & Danny Rampling as well as DJ's like Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules (Radio One). But this time its not a hardcore anthem - this is a raw yet slick house record, slightly reminiscent of the Shapeshifters Number One and their horn hooks in "Lola's theme" but ultimately it's different.
"2 Million Way"s is an immediate string laden record that will grab you by the scruff of the neck and escort you briskly to the dancefloor.
The record has already been picked up outside the Uk by some of Europe's hottest labels, cue Motivo in Italy and many others.
So what has Olivier been doing in between these two sonic gems? Olivier runs EPOS (Earth Parking Orbit Station) & Holographic Records, DJ's every weekend in his home town of Belgium and records as 'Congasquad' too. He has also had tracks signed to labels like Junior, Subliminal and on top of this regularly Dj's with people like John Julius Knight, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez & Bob Sinclair. AND he's worked with artists Junior Jack, Lucien Foort & Tom De Neef along the way. The man's a legend.
"2 Million Ways" is set for a vocal top line, rumour has it the writer behind Michael Grey's "The Weekend" is having a crack. This record will be unleashed soon and all we can say is watch out South Beach, Miami.
"It's the Music of the Sun and the Stars, the music is different here, vibrations are different, not like Planet Earth
