The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here, Susan's debut Hood Politics EP.
'Susie's Weapon', is a straight to the point, peak hour, tech house banger that will leave you jaw-dropped saying 'oh..my.. god'. A rumbling bass line along and dirty synth leads make this A-side explode from the get go. As the track progresses, big kicks, captivating vocals chops and massive build ups lock the dance floor into a demanding groove. It's gonna be hard to ignore this weapon, trust us, but we know when you hear it, you'll know that Susie gave it his all in creating something magnetizing for his debut release.
The B side, 'The Dedication', is a grooving tribute to the dance floor community. The track combines Susan's love for early 2000's hip-hop and modern house music and creates a banger that'll send you into oblivion. It's big, its weird and its been on an absolute tear in our sets lately. The drops will make your head spin, the synths will get you moving and the vocal work will inspire you to step it up on the dance floor. Play it loud, this is for the hearing impaired.
When considering the remix duties for this monster, we knew it was gonna be hard to find someone to step up and take a crack at this beauty. But leave it to two of Chicago and Brooklyn's finest and we got something that really blew us away. Young legend's Riffa and John Summit delivered some absolute heat with their remixes of 'The Dedication' and 'Susie's Weapon' and we couldn't be more stoked on the outcome. Both remixes push the envelope of the originals to new heights and deliver a one of a kind energy that we crave on this label. These dudes absolutely killed it and capped this EP off in perfect fashion.
Believe us when we say, this EP is the stimulus package in turning any party into a straight up rager; this is a weapon, Susie's weapon. Enjoy!
