Before the social media explosion, in the midst of dance music's digital revolution, upcoming unsigned/amateur producers would meet up on internet forums and other websites to share their works with other like-minded enthusiasts.
Around a decade ago, one of the most popular of these sites for the trance scene was a Belgian website called Dance Industries. Before starting the Defcon label I was an enthusiastic member of this community, and later went on to welcome several of them to the label itself!
Along with three of these artists - all of whom have gone on to receive wider recognition, including ASOT support - we decided to put together an EP of three new original tracks as an homage to the Dance Industries website, and the influence it had on all of our careers.
Alphadelta continues his 2016 resurgence with an incredible new offering 'Avalanche', a melodic uplifter of epic proportions, tinged with his trademark Balearic twist.
Also enjoying a comeback this year with us is Liquid Vision, who flexes his progressive muscles on 'Finding A New', with its laid-back groove and driving bass, complimented by his signature flair.
Rounding things off is EverLight (formerly known on Dance Industries as DJ Sea!) who caps off an incredible year with 'Faded', a dark and devastating late night affair with subtle melodies and a techy drive.
