Paul started his Dj career back in 1987 inspired by Soul, Disco, Funk, 80s Synth pop and the emergence of the Acid House movement. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best.
Throughout his career he has played alongside some of the biggest names in the industry including Hot Since 82, D Ramirez, Mike Mago, Flashmob, Marshall Jefferson and Tom Novy.
Although house music is Pauls preferred choice of music to play, he has the ability to play to the most diverse crowds due to his vast experience in the industry. Paul’s immensely varied DJ career has taken him from playing house in a 4000 capacity super club to soul/disco/RnB hip hop sets in intimate back room party venues.
Paul believes the secret to his success and longevity of his career in the business is his ability to read a crowd. Expressing his passion for music and creating an accessible vibe everywhere he plays. He fuses a fine understanding of the past with an original vision of future, never losing sight of his passions – playing music, breaking tunes and celebrating life!
Building a loyal following is one of Paul’s main priorities with any club/bar residency he’s booked for.
After establishing many successful club nights, Paul decided to start producing and in 2006 he created a stand out remix for NYCs Dj Exacta which was then licensed to the very first Ministry Of Sound Playboy Album. Subsequently Paul formed and became CEO of MuSol Recordings which has grown into one of the most respected indie labels in the UK today, boasting a host of top 10 hits and with tracks being licensed to many compilation albums including Hed Kandi & Cafe Del Mar.
