For the next release on DJ Godfather's Dirty Knock imprint, he hands over to Quickie Mart for the 3-track 'Werk EP'. Martin 'Quickie Mart' Arceneaux was born and raised in Louisiana. His production and bass remixes have been featured on a number of independent and major labels, with remixes for artists like Slightly Stoopid, Freddie Gibbs, The Revivalists, NOLA bounce legend Ricky B, Katey Red, Galacitc, J-Boogie, and more. His 'Space Monkey Radio EP' held the #4 position on Beatport's Top 100 Dubstep releases for four weeks when it debuted in 2011. He has produced tracks for artists like Planet Asia, Wax, Percee P, Buff 1, T. Mills, Big Freedia, and Gotham Green to name just a few. Residing in New Orleans, when he's not in studio producing and remixing, Mart spends most of his time on the road bringing his unique bass-heavy style to the world's sound systems. His side projects include Gypsyphonic Disko with Ben Ellman of Galactic, Bang, You're Dead with Jes Hudak of Bravo's Platinum Hit, and Computa Games with Eric Lindell and Co. bassist Chris Arenas. His music has received high praise from the press with LA Weekly hailing him 'New Orleans' Hip Hop Champion' and was recently awarded Gambit's Best Of The Big Easy 'Best DJ/Electronica 2014'. Coming from Louisiana, a state that is so rich in music culture, it is no surprise that Quickie Mart's wide ranging palate keeps him on music's cutting edge and the 'Werk EP' is no exception, with some speaker quaking bass, whether on 'Low' and 'Popcorn' featuring the bouncing lyrics of Fly Boi Keno or 'Werk' alongside Dirty Knock label head, DJ Godfather.
