Berlin's Japanese resident has been moving to Germany for precise reasons and we can obviously suspect his love for techno to be one of first interest. Kaitaro, AKA Kai from 31337 Records, makes an interesting jump in the world of squids with an EP about "Past And Future". Words of wisdom relate that music genre and tendencies are one world of evolving cycles, perhaps an analogy to a sine wave drawn by a LFO. Cycles, as music come in and out of style over years of evolution of our scene, shape DJ sets but if there's some music that tend to be timeless, its certainly heady minimal techno. Kaitaro draws a line here by making music that confuses the listener as if it's from years back or perhaps, music from tomorrow. Classic pulsing basses such as in "Ost" do a great job on any dancefloors while "The Black Hole" is the best description of the track's mood: a brain sucker that draws you away from the present moment. The four tracks clearly shows the man's skills and making music that is out of era music and that will become a DJ's best friend.
