Denis Bonotto delivered us five fantastic tracks with his Little Love EP. The first one, Souvenir, presents a deep tech and minimal blend driven by an elaborated low-end work between the kick rhythm and bass line, creating a really groovy and simple dubby style track. The next one is Dark Mood, and as the name suggests has a very dark ambience reflected on sounds used and backend textures. In combination with a simple but very effective groove they create a fantastic dub techno experience. The third track is Little Love, one of the deepest and most elaborated ones, which reflects subtle articulations between the percussive elements, the backend fxs and also the deep style synth sounds working as textures. All these elements create a superb floating vibe that gets easily complemented by a strong low-end. The fourth track is Iceberg, and as the name indicates is the most rhythmic and cold one of them, but because of that has no groove at all. Quite the opposite, the percussions take the stand here and they carry out the weight and responsibility of lifting up the groove, which they do flawlessly, especially with the different layers and stereo fxs on each one that easily gets into mind of the listener. The last and not least of them all is Pet Therapy and it starts with a simple minimalistic groove that also reflects traces of house on it. We can mostly hear and appreciate them from the synth stabs, bass line and the old-school Roland percussive set, which all together creates a magnificent underground and groovy piece that closes perfectly the different styles covered in this release.
