It is finally here, the fourth release of the Berlin label Mohre Rekorder. This time contributed by the artist 'architect of life' with the extended player 'Ancestry'. Similarly mysterious as the project itself - no profiles on social networks like Facebook or the music platform Soundcloud exist - is the first track of the EP.
'architect of life', which bears the same name as the artist himself, can hardly be surpassed in atmosphere and deepness. Playful, driving and gloomy spheres meet sluggish drums, dark bass and dreamy ambience with sheer sublime countenance. What an entrance, goosebumps pure!
What follows is 'In The Dark', which also truly lives up to its name. A technoid track with 4-to-the-floor attitude. Loosened by a chime-like synth sound, definitely not only useful for peaktime usage, but also for early morning hours application.
The completion is given by 'Train', which also seamlessly connects to its predecessors in terms of timbre and dynamics. Such a coherent picture is hardly found in a piece of art. Equally spiked with deep and floating synths, the track appears more fluffy than 'Architect of Life' altogether, but is definitely as sublime and majestic in its entirety.
