Bio:

Paolo Aliberti began his DJing career at the end of the 80’s playing in the clubs of his native city, Turin, in the north of Italy. His intense passion for the elaboration and diffusion of sound became even stronger when he opened his record-shop in 1995 and built his own recording studio in the back with just an Exspander, a Sampler and an Atari … just what he needed for the very beginning... Since then, he has always found inspiration and admiration from one of the best acts of the French underground scene: Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter a.k.a. Daft Punk. It’s in 1999 when Paolo releases his first record production with his friend Roberto Cipro and together they began their collaboration with some of the most important dance record companies of that time: Media Records, Time Records and V2 Records. The following year Paolo and his friend Faber Moreira organized the greatest dance event in the province of Cuneo: “The Universe of Love”. More than twenty hours of non-stop music, this event was organised to collect money for all the people affected by the flood in Asti. 2004 is the year of the move from Turin to Brescia. In this new city Paolo and Roberto Cipro launched 72Trax Productions Company and began their careers as producers and remixers. Then, in 2005, Paolo was asked by Melodica Srl to remix the single by ILONA MITRECEY for the French record company SCORPIO MUSIC. The single sold over two million copies worldwide and was on top of the charts for several weeks in France and Europe. The following year, 2006, Paolo began his collaboration with Melodica and his first production in the new studio was the remix of the new single by Tiziano Ferro “Stop Dimentica” (EMI Italy). The single was translated in Spanish and released worldwide by EMI. That same year Paolo starts a new production team together with DJ Alex Elle and, hence, “Pornocult” project was born. In a few months, Pornocult were been asked to produce important remixes for key international DJs, such as Roger Sanchez, Leideback Luke, Robbie Rivera and many more. Their first single titled “100% Leather” well expressed their electric-sonorities-style that was consolidated later by the successful remix done for Get-Far “Shining Star”. This remix gave to the single a new and fresh “outlook” and it soon charted up in the French sales charts. Claiming great reactions from all over Europe, it was also released in the USA under Nervous Records. In 2007 Paolo meets Alessandro Saccoia, a young musician with the same passion for analogical instruments. From this new DJ-Musician collaboration, the new single by Pornocult titled “Beat Like This” came to life and it was soon licensed to Nervous Records for the USA. During the summer, the new team of production of Paolo and Alessandro (Aliberti & Saccoia) started to work on the remix of Deleo “Like a Star” and the production of a new club track titled “Magma”. In the meantime Tiziano Ferro, very satisfied with the great results gained with the remix of “Stop Dimentica”, decided to ask again Paolo Aliberti for a new remix of his summer single “E’ Raffaella è mia”, which was broadcasted by all the Italian radio networks. Whilst constantly playing in the best European clubs, the forthcoming single of Pornocult is in progress and will be officially launched in autumn 2007 during the Amsterdam Dance Event. Paolo Aliberti is going to release his own single titled “Essa Nega Sem Sandalia” this coming October.
