After Cultivated Electronics first digital only remix release from Signal Type the label follows up with the its next installment of electro goodness with remixes of Sync 24s Resynth track from EP002. Starting the proceedings is Bloc resident and Base Logic regular Ed Chamberlain. Ed takes the tempo down and twists the track into a mutant electro groove of machine beats, squeezed bass and deep swirling pads. Next up is Pyramid Transmissions head honcho Pathic who goes for a more old school style interpretation. Mixing smooth beats with fat retro bass lines and chopped up robot samples all finished off with lush pads and melodies. Taking things into the darker domain is Synewave records Truss. Rolling techno style beats, spooky atmospheres and tense building Acid make this a perfect 4am crowd pleaser. The Ep is rounded off with a guest appearance from Ai records Plant 43. Ahead of his forthcoming album on Ai, Emil Facey turns in a crisp, deep version of the original with dark melodies and strings that are reminiscent of early Anthony Rother. Look out for the next CE vinyl release from Silicon Scally due for release late Sep/Oct 2010.
