Hisham Sabbah debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Mars EP. DJ and producer Hisham is also known as Eltimass (his previous artist name) and he hails from the underground scene in Haifa City, known for his progressive house and tech house sounds, infused with hypnotic melodies. Musically he started at an early age, and by the end of 2013 he won a remix contest at Electrowavez, making a progressive house remix for a Psy-trance track. His debut release was in 2014 with The Escape EP followed by his second release in 2015 with Magnetic Field. In 2016 he opened his music bar in Haifa to promote culture and music in his hometown, he has hosted local, talented DJs and artist and made the scene even bigger in that area. Great to have him on board at BP.

Mars carries a mystical vibe wrapped up in a solid, driving progressive groove. Nice chunky kicks and bright shuffling hi hats deliver a rhythmic flow while deep, lush basses add depth and warmth. The bassline is hypnotic as it pulsates through the sound against a backdrop of mesmerizing pads and Eastern vocal flavour. The break is a wonderfully constructed sequence of the vocals and pads delivering a cosmic experience which is climaxed with superb retro style chord stabs that remain for the duration, transforming the track. An absolute stomper that is not to be missed.

Lunar Eclipse intros with crispy sharp hats and claps which form a nice rhythm alongside a pumping kick drum and cool chord stabs. A swelling pad fades in, creating a dreamy atmosphere, setting the tone for a ride deep into progressive. The bassline bursts into the groove with its deep sub level punch and gritty edge. Captivating voices blend effortlessly into the sound and after a short break we're treated to some Eastern flavour once again as beautifully plucked strings add melody before the deep bass and hypnotic chords return. Top notch stuff that is not to be missed.
