Label boss Jay Haze returns with the 5th layer of the Junion, a 3 track EP which shows why the label is the techno child in the Contexterior family. Haze, one of the most prolific producers of the year, opens this EP with "Moody Switching", an acid mindtrip which shows the American at his darkest, tho the groove is never lost even amidst panic laden 303. On the B side, "Minimom" keeps things simple, a nagging riff and a bass drum with some maniacal laughing in the distance: did somebody say "jack"? The EP is capped off with "Smart Ass", a more bumping cut from Haze in a bleep house style, with added dub snares. Make no mistake, this EP is for the peaktime dancefloor moments. You have been warned.
