GUILLAMINO Guillamino has been defined as an electronic Pascal Comelade or as a Matthew Herbert with a Spanish guitar. This musician from Barcelona engages the potential of digital music processing to communicate through music. Guillamino mixes dub, hip hop, minimal and house in a very peculiar way. He also plays with Catalan traditional sounds (sardana) and sings in a soulful way. For all these reasons, hes considered as one of the most surprising electronic musicians in Spain. After releasing two records for the Spanish label Bankrobber, Guillamino is now releasing his first international release. Third Ear is going to release the compilation Atzavara. This is not the first time that Guillamino crosses the Spanish borders: Star DJs John Peel and Gilles Peterson have played his music on BBC-Radio 1, after discovering him at Sónar festival in 2005.
