Andy Ash drops his ‘Connections EP’ on Fullbarr this October with a Achterbahn D’Armour remix alongside. Leeds based Fullbarr enlist Liverpool's Andy Ash for an EP of steady, sophisticated tech-house business which screams of Northern England's penchant for rock solid house music. "Motz" has a concentric bassline which just rolls right through suspended pads and old school drum boxes. Displaying perfectly how one, well deployed riff can both stimulate and hypnotise, the track just goes off on different tangents from the same point, allowing various micro-solos to emanate from deep within the mix as if like magic. ‘Shackle’ ramps up the BPMs and the vigour and is the perfect house - techno crossover record. Tough, jacking drums with great vocal snippet, usage, which is applied to the body-rocking drops, also included the track's bags of tricks. Another one-loop track which burns steadily through its duration and will leave the 'floor totally satisfied. "Strong Connection" screams of a thousand post-3AM moments in various clubs / warehouses and raves spent growing up partying around the North. With the smoke and strobe turned up to full and those full frequency vibrations pulsating from every orifice, you'll be excused as to losing your orientation or immediate purpose and just surrender yourself to the t e c h! Sonic alchemists Achterbahn D'Amour remix ‘Shackle’ into another pulsating affair, cultivated over dusty synths, infectious shifting percussion and wacky resonating intonations to dish up a warm punchy house cut that rounds off the sublime four-track offering in style.
