Providing, riding and amplifying the connection between tunes and crowd for well over 10 years now, JabZ MC first picked up the mic at The Matrix in his home town of Reading, England U.K.He started listening to beats back in 1992 when the early rave scene was breaking through, and took early vocal influences from the legendary Stevie Hyper D (RIP), MC Conrad and Top Buzz’s Mad P.JabZ has come a long way since those early days, both lyrically and geographically, moving from the UK to claim Christchurch, New Zealand as his new home. Warming up for the legendary Mampi Swift and IC3 gave him his first real taste of a New Zealand crowd back in 2005 and he hasn’t looked back since, earning himself a reputation as a killer lyricist, hype MC and host.Having amped up crowds on tour across New Zealand and Europe as MC of choice for home-grown producers State Of Mind, as well as providing vocal duties for international heavyweights Andy C, Teebee, Black Sun Empire and Total Science (to name but a few), when JabZ picks up the mic in front of a crowd all hell could break loose, and frequently does.In recent times, JabZ has performed alongside Gridlok, Jade and Mindscape, Octane and DLR, Nymfo, DC Breaks, London Elektricity and Jakes, Kiwi favorites, The Upbeats, Trei & Dose as well as the legendary DJ Hpe and the heavyweight sounds of Optiv & BTK.
