Birmingham (UK) based multi instrumentalists Tim Boyce and Lewis Carr publicly known as Boyoca combine real world sounds
with electronic beats and grooves. Treading the line between the decks and the guitars, the dance
floor and stage, the electronic
and the organic.
Boyoca has a distinct style which doesn’t neglect real instrumentation amongst the synthesizers. Their 'Green House' sound was
designed to be at home in a DJ set, but also to be played live.
A melding of sounds, formed through wide reaching musical exposure, which reaches back to early disco and following through
to early house, hardcore, big beat and many other sub-genres that have filled dance
floors through the decades.
Running parallel to their fascination with the dance
floor, Boyoca have a long history in the world of guitar bands where their
musicianship and ability in songwriting has helped them create a style designed to stand out in the electronic scene. Over the
years, these influences have slowly and carefully been distilled into a sound which is distinctly Boyoca.
2021 will see Boyoca release their debut EP via Kartel Music’s EMK label.
