Ready Mix Records continues its ALREADY MIXED journey with New Zealand born DJ-producer Rob Warner taking control of Volume 2.
Robs mix showcases the broad variety of styles in Ready Mixs ten year history. Beginning with over 100 tracks, Rob whittled them down into the collection here which spans the lifetime of the label. Beginning with a gothic intro the mix eases into the deep warmth of Stan Kolevs Inner Sense and changes up through the gears over successive tracks, taking the listener through all the musical twists and turns Ready Mix has enjoyed. From the off-kilter groove of The Quasar feat Yvel & Tristans Funkytown, the sultry ethnic drums of Quicksound Phasah, Tone Depths thunderous tribal anthem Lust to the peak-time party tune Disco Deciders Secret System, of a lot of ground is covered.
Many of the tracks featured have been edited or overlayed with elements of other releases to create a classic New York style mix. This is no quick-fix collection of big tunes but a showcase of what a decade of passion for forward-thinking music sounds like as mixed by a DJ who shares the same passion for teasing, tweaking and tripping dance floors out.
Alongside production partner Shaveer, Rob also contributed a remix of Future Mode New World Order, a 90s New York throwback remix which is available exclusively on the unmixed version of the compilation.
About Rob Warner
Robs passion for underground music began in the early 90s. Cutting his DJing teeth in clubs and events playing early New York and Detroit house and techno he quickly discovered his love for dark, dubby music. Playing a unique mix of deep house, ethnic rhythms, funky techno, and off-kilter sounds has seen him host his own nights, feature on radio shows globally and perform on tours down-under for Global Underground and Renaissance alongside Danny Howells, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie, Steve Lawler and many others. Hes also DJed throughout Australasia on events in Japan, China, HK, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia and more.
