Stephan Hinz is back for seconds and this time he's flying solo with his Throwl EP. These are two massive dance floor tunes that will surely find their way into every room scenario for the foreseeable future. On the A side is the EP title track, 'Throwl' and Hinz does it again. Much like the huge hit 'Doch' from Hinz & Ruhmhardt's Panther EP earlier this summer, he's laid the groundwork with a giant kick drum, rolling bass and crisp hi hats, while a warm, distorted organ line relentlessly works into crescendo it never fully reaches. 'Throwl' creates a massive amount of energy by never going over the edge, but taking it right there. Another brilliant display of how real restraint works magic on a crowd. For the flip side, Hinz goes peak time psychedelic with 'Ignite'. A big kick drum and tight hat lock the groove while a single note and pulsing pad build the tension until the main element reveals itself as just a few notes stuck in a warm, dizzying loop. As the lead intensifies, its repetition becomes increasingly hypnotic and the bass kicks back in. From here it's all eyes closed and all hands in the air.
