First up, the title track for this EP get the ball rolling with a galloping groove that adds a little bounce with a some filtered chords underneath to add some push to the groove. And then to top it all off we have some blissed out xylophones that just adds that subtle flair that only Winiberg could pull off.
On the flip side, we see Winiberg exploring a similar feel and style but one that's a bit more subdued and just engulfs you. First and foremost the bassline is a lot chunkier, but still just grooves along and gives the rest of the track room to breath and work it's magic. The filter chords are back and they are super wet this time around. They just surround you with a wall of sound that is just empowering, but not enough to knock you over. Almost like embracing your significant other and knowing that they will hold you tightly without smothering you. And then the delicate touch of the dubbed vibraphones just brings everything together in that typical signature Winiberg sound and style that we all love. Well, we love it at least, and so should you!
First up on remix duties is the ever talented and gifted James High. His take on the title track is just straight up raw and funky. All about bass on this one, and it just keeps you on your toes from start to finish with some blissed out pads to help glue everything together and balance out the raw bassline. Did we mention the 80's snare? No? Well, we just did. (We love us some big and wet snares over at ++ and James High delivers!)
And to help round off this EP is ++ very own man behind the scenes, Jason Bay. Taking a stab at Last Dance (not by choice mind you) we think he really brought something a little different to help balance off the EP. With a simple, but entrancing perc groove this track has you hooked from the start. With a moody bassline that throbs and a vocal line that just sums up the mood of the track, this is one to keep by your side when the afterparty is just heating up!
