US producer SHADED brings his signature vibe to the Senso imprint, and seems to instantly fit right in. The two track release gives the Californian born-and-raised artist the opportunity to share his slightly twisted take on techno with a new audience, and he does not disappoint. First up is 'Rippple' - a tough and muscular technoid workout with biting claps, shuffling percussion and a wonky bassline. It's tight as a drum production wise, but gives off an unhinged atmosphere from start to finish. Similarly the second track 'Sumbody' manages the same feat. The rising and falling arpeggiated synth line, moving in and out of the mix brings a disorienting presence, underpinned by a driving, pulsating rhythm track. This is techno at its most celebratory.
