This album really raises the bar a notch or two, which is a very bold statement in light of Scotts past achievements. There is not a single cover version or collaboration in sight, every track has been worked to perfection over a two year period and it is obvious to hear & see the care and attention that has gone into making this happen. Each track contains its own unique vibe, charisma and identity but all maintain the instantly recognisable Noize that only Scott Attrill can provide.
Over the past two years Scott Attrill has quite simply taken Dance Music by storm! Two acclaimed artist albums in two years, Bass Junkie and Mega have helped establish him as one of the worlds finest DJs with Mega being hailed as the Best harder dance album of the year 2009 by scene bible Mixmag. His tracks are also played on an almost weekly basis by scene leader Kutski on BBC Radio 1 with his smash remix of Sidney Samsons Shut up & Let It go aired on the stations peak daytime shows.
He also mixed this years Soundtrack of the summer that was Riot! In Ibiza 2010, another album that also scooped the Album of the month accolade from Mixmag. Scotts following is growing at pace, consistently touring the worlds biggest clubs and playing huge festival events and this looks to continue, as Scott recently became the first DJ in the world to have tracks featured to play on the hit computer game Rock Band .
The album concept of Noize showcases his brand new Hard Electrik sound that he has pioneered over the past year or so, a fusion of electro, techno, trance & hard dance that is literally so fresh, it is no surprise Scott Attrill is receiving so much praise & attention
The album Kicks off with a specifically tailored intro that is laced with breakbeats & electro blips/synths that provides an intense edge from the start. This moves straight into the Hard Electrik sound that is Neon Baby, perfect to get you in the mood before turning the tables by dropping into the thrashing techno funk vibe that is What The Funk. Next up we venture darker as the deep sub base of Krunchy builds ready to smash hard with its tech / Trance influence.
Moving on come Rise & title track Noize, again the Hard Electrik sound is tight & crisp as all the sounds come together and push the pace up a notch before dropping into the smash anthem that is Girls Love Techno, a track that has set clubs on fire all summer (even t-shirts are being branded with lines from the song) Bang! Bang! Bang! We then move into the Spanish influenced En Harmonia Perfecta that has Epic & Big Room written all over it with a huge string & pad breakdown with a massive riff to boot.
Then come Disco Rocket, One More Time & Dangerous as once again the mix is cranked up a notch with yet more twisted & distorted filthy beats/sounds before the Dangerous breakdown lifts you direct to that special place.
The final stretch of the collection sees Thumper, Dirty F**k, Adapter & Dance With Me finish off in style as the beats get harder, faster and, too be honest, will just blow you away, leaving you wanting more and ready to join the Attrill Revolution
