With the second release on Cocoon Recordings' newly founded 10-inch-series, the label gives a first outlook on the sound that will make us dance this summer. Leading the way is the Brussels resident Geoffroy Dewandeler aka Mugwump, who already cooperated with Spirit Catcher and can look back on releases on imprints such as SSR, the Eskimo sublabel Suicide or Kompakt. "Mindflexes" is a very rarely heard melange of percussive sounds and vigorous Space-Discotech, which seems to make it rather impossible to remain still. Definitely not a stranger is the 33-year-old Uroš Umek, who has located Slovenia on the map of the electronic music scene like no one else since the beginning of the Nineties. "Radim Haos" excels with a highly effective pumping bass line including arabic reminiscences and impressively proves Umek's special position in the matter of cultivated dancefloor bombs.
