This track was born from a re-working of a track released as a vinyl white label back in 1998. Inititially all the sounds and samples were sourced from the original however, as is often the case, the track took on a life of it's own. The original track was inspired by the likes of Heller and Farley's Ultraflava and Deep Dish productions of the time with a twist of UKG. This re-creation took those original elements and added to them with some twisted French filtered house loops.
'In your soul' sounds quite raw in comparison to JC's previous releases, attempting to bring back that passion for discovering a great sample and just re-living the joy of twisting that filter knob on the fly on an old Juno or Moog.
Mastering was undoubtedly a challenge, balancing a multitude of brash sounds all fighting for the limelight. This was masterfully conducted by Stuart Kettridge.
