Rowney, Propz and Niterider are excited to unveil Smokescreen's first and highly awaited album, 'The Spectrum - All Corners' LP to the Drum & Bass scene!
This album has been carefully compiled and selected over the last 12 months, with a selection of established UK artists and relative newcomers, showcasing a broad variety of sounds and production styles. With various support from artists worldwide, it is an insight into the depth of sounds and artists that Smokescreen has to offer.
On the liquid side of things we have the opener from Coventry's Substainless, an uplifting euphoric anthem in the shape of 'Love So Deep' and Hampshire producer Skinley brings in the vibes with his track 'Take Me There' which features a melodic catchy riff and neat vocals.
Coming in with dirty techy vibes we have Smokescreen co owner and debutant Niterider from Oldham with his track 'Ancient Sound, Birmingham boys Fena & Jeopardize come correct with their bouncy number 'Unidentified', new talent Vigorous from Kent storms in with 'Not Quite Right' a gritty razor sharp track and Manchester newcomer Maynard brings dark flavours with his track 'Forgiven'.
For the rollers crew we have slick productions from Norwich's finest Saxxon with his delicate percussive roller 'Tik Taks', Kent artist Freek features with his tracks 'Transcendence' and a vocal bass led medley called 'Not Got A Clue' with MC Ess Dot. London's Kool FM hotshot Rob Sparx joins the mayhem with his versatile track 'Changes' which combines rap samples and bass stabs nicely.
For the junglist faithful we have Manchester vets Dawn Raid taking centre stage with their catchy bubbler 'Twoc', Birmingham rudebwoy producer P.A draws for the dirty bass bomb 'One Way', Maynard joins the action with his bass heavy rolling track 'Drug Fetish' and Kent artist Primo brings his smooth slice 'Hold me' with slick beats and a rumbling bassline!
To complete the album we have dancefloor beats from London's Coda with his vicious dirty banger 'No Hiding', then a minimal jump up cut from Bedford artist Hypnotik featuring percussion shots and bass stabs. Last but not least Smokescreen co-founder Rowney drops his jump up roller 'Superfly' which features a dreamy intro and a big bassline riff, trademark Rowney business.
Whatever you're into we're sure something on this album will be up your street! We hope you enjoy!
