You know her production & vocal skills from tracks like To Forever, Till There Was You and her recent remixes for Nadia Ali (alongside Morgan Page) and Samtorev (beatport 10 must-hear progressive tracks march 2010), and now Rachael Starr releases an EP of all original tracks made for the dancefloor.
First off is Compliance, a peak time stormer packed with techy beats, a subtle electro flavor and an enormous euphoric breakdown. Musical ideas are blended together perfectly to create a journey that leaves the dancefloor on their feet, all while chugging clean beats keep the energy up throughout.
Next up is RALF: a soulful, more minimal track with a killer breakdown. The track never stops moving and with its constant tribal influenced bassline could be used anytime, from a sunset beach party to a sunrise afterhours.
The last track of the EP, In My Skin, is the perfect blend of Rachaels vocals and dancefloor sensibility. An energetic tech-house foundation with haunting vocal loops leads into a massive break with Rachaels signature melancholy sound and unforgettable vocals.
