Johan Mila approached his newest Dantze EP ‚Somiar' from a wholistic point of view, rather than supplying well working club music. This could be connected to the closed down clubs in most parts of the world or to throw in a bigger pinch of emotive expression. Nevertheless does Johan Mila perfectly balance between hope and melancholia with this release. He starts off with the track named after the EP. It is an electronica piece with a slow drum beat and massive pads, that carry a very special emotional energy. After this he jumps back into the spheres of the club to stay true to what he does. ‚Scramento' is playful melodic techno that shakes a big part of the melancholia off. This is followed by ‚Rapture', which is techno made for big stages and rooms with roaring horns and medieval choirs. Eventually Johan rounds it off with 2 minutes and 58 seconds of hope oozing ambient made from piano keys and low whistling pads called ‚Dispartar'.
