Parisian love preacher Juan reaches the dancefloor's heart with his tribalistic two tracker 'MANA'. 'MANA' is a French book series focussing on religion and also means 'power'. And the EP's eponymous track combines both: starting with a dominant tribalistically influenced baseline 'MANA' creates an irresistable power until synthsound sequences generate a state of trance matched with African vocal snippets that one finds in the power of believing in transcendental occurences. The EP's second track 'BAWA' starts in media res. A percussive baselines is wiggled by a shamanic ritual soundscape before a subtle didgeridoo and an atmospheric creaking synth sound alternate and peak in an African vocal sample. 'BAWA' not only includes the purest elements of indigious people but links them with an edgy techhouse sound that results to a modern sound sculpture.
