Originally camefrom Kavala and Chios, and since his childhood felt musicwas an extension of himself. He started his career performing as a DJ in small bars &clubs in Kavala, where he moved for his studies inInformatics. At the same time he was invited to perform invenues all over Greece. In addition, his reputation as ahouse DJ was escalated when his mixtape “Tech Eden” gotthe 60th place at the well-known Beatport Mixes. TolisKoutras was honored twice in a row (2011 & 2012) in theinternational house DJ competition “Movida Corona”finishing in the top-16 ranks. Furthermore, every weekseveral radios and web-radios host his podcasts.Nonetheless, he always wins the crowds and theirrecognition in every dance event he makes an appearanceas a DJ.In spite of his studies in Informatics, he decided to invest inhis passion and love for music. In 2012, he moved in Athensto study Electronic Music Production at SAE Athens. He chooses to play only house music and its sub-genres,from progressive/electro house, tech, deep to indie danceand nu disco. By listening to and being influenced (earlyyears of his life), by artists such as Michael Jackson,Prodigy, Faithless, Eric Prydz, Daft Punk, he decided to enterdynamically the music production industry, by trying to soundcloser to artists like Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Solomun,Tube & Berger.T he sound that defines him is dark and underground, involving dynamic basslines that are synchronizedharmonically with drum & percussive elements. His motto asan artist is being reflected ideally by the quote of the famousGerman philosopher Nietzsche:“Without music, life would have been a mistake”
